Bernard Sealy
is Principal of CINQUE PORTS SAILING Ltd which runs
CINQUE PORTS SAILING offering yacht cruising at Dover and, from 2024, dinghy sailing in Dover Harbour
and CONNINGBROOK LAKES SAILING in Ashford offering dinghy sailing, powerboat training, and recreational Stand Up Paddleboarding
MARTELLO LAKES SAILING
Cinque Ports Sailing Ltd runs dinghy sailing and powerboat training at the Martello Lakes, Hythe on Sundays and during school holidays opening up multi-site sailing opportunities to build sailing skills
Members who have completed their Youth Stage 3 or Adult Level 1 dinghy sailing also have the chance to try out weekly Sunday morning racing/sailing in collaboration with experienced racing sailors from Redoubt SC at Hythe, contact us to reserve a place and to hire a boat.

What we offer you
become involved
You are invited to become part of Cinque Ports Sailing Ltd
Dinghy Sailing:
Take the RYA Youth Stage 1 (aged 8+) or Adult RYA Level 1 Course
Then come to regular club sailing at Conningbrook Lakes to build your skills.
RYA Youth Stages 2-4 and Adult RYA Levels 2-3 are also offered in addition to advanced sailing courses which can then lead to becoming an assistant dinghy instructor and then a qualified RYA dinghy instructor (aged 16+) for those interested in helping to teach others and be part of the team.
Recreational club sailing is always available under supervision and we hope you will enjoy sailing on the lakes. You are required to have completed a beginner's course before taking part in recreational sailing and ideally Youth Stage 3 or Adult Level 1.
Pay and Play options are available with boat hire. Some optional lighthearted race sailing and club training opportunities are also offered.
Yacht Sailing:
Try out Yacht Sailing at Dover for Youth and Adults
Undertake Yacht Cruising training and sail on our Sailing School boat or with
local Yacht Skippers we can recommend to you who are looking for crew
Power Boating:
Take your Powerboat Level 1 or 2
Become part of the Safety Boat Team or Mark Laying Team
We also can offer the two day RYA Safetyboat course
